Oh, honey!

Unlock the secrets of radiant skin the natural way! Discover the incredible benefits of honey-infused soap.

Honey is a popular ingredient in skincare products. You can find it in face masks, shampoos, conditioners, lip balms, lotions, and many anti-aging skin care products.

You can find a few easy ways to use raw honey to pamper your skin and hair here.

One of my favorite ways to use honey, besides drizzling it over a hot biscuit fresh from the oven, is by adding it to soap.

What is honey soap?

Honey soap is any soap with added honey. I add honey to my soaps because it is beneficial in so many ways.

Honey soap benefits

Honey is 100% natural:

I use only 100% natural ingredients in everything I make and use. The fact that honey comes straight from my honeybees—straight from nature with no harsh chemicals, toxins, or synthetic materials, is why I love it so much.

Gentle cleansing action:

Adding honey to soap creates a highly effective cleansing agent. The added sugar content helps increase the lather, making it effective against dirt and germs. This gentle cleansing never strips away natural oils.

Honey is a natural humectant. Humectants hold moisture and attract it, making it an excellent moisturizer for the skin. Using honey soap makes the skin feel clean and moisturized.

Antioxidants & Aging:

Honey contains loads of antioxidants that prevent early aging and long-term damage to the skin. Antioxidants help encourage a youthful appearance by fighting off age-causing free radicals and toxins.

Did your mom spread honey over your boo-boos as a child? She had a scientifically valid reason. Honey is a natural antimicrobial and anti-bacterial that speeds healing while soothing the skin. This is an effective remedy for treating small cuts, minor burns, acne, and eczema.

Honey and honey soap have tremendous benefits for the skin. The great thing is that honey is 100% natural and easily tolerated by most skin types. I make several soap recipes with honey if anyone is interested, you can find them below.
